Who we are
GlucoZen ("we") is a diabetes tracking app operated by Erdoğan Dağdelen. Contact: [email protected]
What we collect
- Account data: email address, optional display name.
- Health data (special category): blood glucose readings, insulin and medication logs, weight, blood pressure, lab results, meals, step count (if you grant access), diabetes type and target range; optionally birth year, sex, height and chronic conditions (used to enrich the doctor report — may be left empty).
- Meal photos: only when you use the AI analysis feature; processed transiently and not stored on our servers after analysis.
- Technical data: session logs, device/app version, crash reports.
How we use it
To provide the app's core features (logging, charts, reminders, reports), sync your data across devices, generate nutritional estimates from meal photos, keep your account secure, and comply with the law.
We never use your health data for advertising, marketing, or profiling. We never sell your data.
Legal basis (GDPR)
We process health data on the basis of your explicit consent (Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR), collected separately during sign-up. You may withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account (Profile → Delete account) or emailing us; withdrawal disables health-data features.
Where your data lives
- Supabase Inc. — database and authentication; servers in Frankfurt, Germany (EU).
- Anthropic PBC (USA) — meal photo analysis only; photos are processed for the analysis and API inputs are not used for model training. This involves a transfer outside the EU/UK safeguarded by standard contractual clauses.
Retention
Your data is kept while your account is active. When you delete your account, all health data is permanently erased within 30 days. Security logs are retained as required by law.
Your rights
Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. Requests: [email protected] (answered within 30 days).
Important
GlucoZen is not a medical device and must not be used for diagnosis or treatment. All derived values (e.g., estimated HbA1c, nutrition estimates) are informational only — always consult your doctor.
Children
GlucoZen is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
We will notify you in the app of material changes to this policy.
